What motivates you?

Simple—preserving quality for my clients and enriching my local community.
My clients benefit through the diverse work history I have been afforded along my career. The institutional knowledge and education I have acquired allows me to develop and deliver a quality product tailored to each client’s needs. I approach every project with this value in mind; how do I preserve quality for my client’s goals?

Second to this, comes my professional and personal growth through my continued volunteerism to strengthen local communities. I cannot emphasize enough the enrichment I receive knowing that my construction and structural engineering background help those in need, who don’t have resources, and are trying to better their local community. I get to walk away from every volunteer project knowing that my work has not only enriched the recipient, but will sustain the community long after I am gone. Helping others, help others, provides value to all.

Why is Structural Engineering Important?

For me, the structural engineering community has one goal: the preservation of the people in our society by building safer and stronger communities. Your structural engineer provides more value than one might think. Besides being able to safely inhabit a structure, the industry is proactively looking into the future by studying ways buildings can sustain their physical longevity and impact on our environment. Truly, I am surrounded by individuals who are driven by the motto “do good.” And when we do our jobs well, we help others in society flourish.
